About Us
The Apothecary Tap is Banbury's only specialist craft beer bar and bottle shop, music and comedy venue.
Opened in April 2019, it is run by husband and wife team Rob and Karen. We specialise in small batch craft beers from independent brewers, both local and from around the globe, including a wide range of vegan, vegetarian and gluten free beers.
The Apothecary Tap grew out of our passion for craft beer and the desire to bring this to Banbury.
We are proud to be the home of Atic Comedy and to work in collaboration with Strummer Room Records for our original live music events. All music and comedy enquiries should be made directly to them.
Currently we have 12 keg lines of carefully selected, ever changing beers and ciders, alongside at least 1 box cider and a variety of cans and bottles to drink in or takeaway.We will be more than happy to help you select your beers and provide useful information about the breweries themselves.
As well as bringing you the best independent breweries, we also stock cider and spirits from similar small-batch, independents, and we also now have a wine list as well as a range of soft drinks and alcohol-free choices.

Dogs are welcome, as are children (until 7pm), although we request that children are never unattended in the bar area.
Last orders is called 30 minutes prior to advertised closing time.
